BURGERS:
Blue Cheese–Stuffed Burgers
1 1/3 LB. ground beef
1 Egg, slightly beaten
1/3 Cup bread crumbs
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Teaspoon spicy brown mustard, plus more for spreading
1 Clove garlic, minced
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
3/4 Cup blue cheese, crumbled
Hamburger buns
1 Tomato, sliced
Romaine lettuce leafs
Serves 4
Preheat grill*. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, pepper and garlic. Mix well. Shape meat into 7 thin patties.
Place 1/4 of the blue cheese on top of 4 patties. Spread to within 1/2" of edge. Top with remaining patties, seal edges well.
Cook over medium heat, toast buns. Serve with tomato, lettuce and spicy brown mustard.
*can also be cooked under broiler
